Creating a Lego themed desk tidy for a child’s bedroom

Here’s yet another addition to SO Kid’s Lego themed bedroom – a Lego themed desk tidy to help keep his room looking a little more organised!

To build the actual desk tidy, we used scraps of wood from SO Teen’s old cabin bed. The rest of the bed has been re-purposed in various ways, including making extra shelving under her new high sleeper bed.

Once it was put together, we bought a few rolls of Lego-compatible flexible tape to cover the edges. This is not only a decorative effect which helps the desk tidy blend with the rest of SO Kid’s room, but also makes it interactive as you can build upon the rubber tape! It makes a fab minifigure storage and display space too!

See the rest of the room here.

I love how this room is coming together and the repurposing of the cabin bed has worked so well. So Kid must love this with all those handy compartments. So clever that you can add Lego to the top too. I wonder how long it will stay tidy?
