Southampton Seaside in the Square
July 19 – August 11

Southampton’s Seaside in the Square event is back for summer 2019, with loads of free activities taking place. Guildhall Square will be transformed into an ‘urban beach’ from 19 July to 11 August and you’ll be able to enjoy film, theatre, music, quizzes, yoga, petanque, volleyball and more. A few of the family highlights are listed below.

Southampton’s Sensory Garden at Westquay
July 26 – August 11

Visit Southampton’s Sensory Garden this summer, on the Esplanade at Westquay. There’s something for everyone, with beautiful floral pathways and installations, an Over Grown Greenhouse, enchanted Fairy Garden (complete with ‘Edible Bubbles’ from Smith and Sinclair, tepees, toadstools and garden games) and the grown ups can also enjoy a refreshing tipple at ‘Jim & Tonic’s Gin Bar, after picking the perfect garnish from the herb garden! There will also be a packed programme of activities and workshops to get involved in. Here are the family-friendly activities:
