Here are some of this autumn’s best places to pick your own pumpkins in Hampshire. Pumpkin picking in Hampshire is a popular activity each October, so don’t leave it til the last minute to find that perfect Halloween pumpkin at one of our local PYO farms!
It’s a good idea to click through and check the Facebook pages for each pumpkin patch, as they will have up to date information regarding availability.
Where to pick your own pumpkins in Hampshire
One of our most popular local PYO farms in the Southampton area is Pickwell Farm. They are open 7 days a week from 9am-5pm and pumpkins from the field are priced at £2 for small/medium and £3 for large ones.
Another local farm offering PYO pumpkins is Goodalls in Lymington. Pumpkin picking is available from 10am during weekends from the 12th October, then daily throughout half term up to Halloween.
Durleighmarsh Farm near Petersfield is open for pumpkin picking from the first weekend of October. Opening times are subject to crop availability.
Also close to Petersfield, just on the Hampshire/West Sussex border, is Rogate Pumpkin Patch. This popular PYO location will be open during October half term (until Halloween) for lots of pumpkin themed fun and games, with a corn maze and craft activities. There will be an admission charge, but plenty to entertain the kids!
Down in Totton, Sunnyfields Farm is getting ready for the annual Sunnyfields Pumpkin Festival! Open weekends from 5th October, then daily from 19th-31st, you can pick your own then carve it too. Admission is free, with small charges for the activities.
Another pumpkin picking place in the New Forest area is Fordingbridge Pumpkin Picking Patch. It is the same company as previous years but at a new location in Bickton. With free entry and loads to do, it sounds like a fun way to pass a few hours this half term. The site will be open 12th-13th October, then daily from 19th-31st.
Meanwhile, back in the old location in Fordingbridge is a new event – Pumpkin Pastures (confusing, huh?!). This one is off the A338 Fordingbridge slip road (where the Fordingbridge Pumpkin Picking Patch previously was), so this year there’ll be even more pumpkins to go around – you could even visit both!
Over in Titchfield, Steve Harris Ltd will be open for pumpkin picking from 12th-13th October, then daily from 17th until Halloween.
